The fourth edition of The Challenge Academy connected the theoretical part of the online working environment with the practical workshops organized outdoors. The 3D modeling course in Rhinoceros and the graphics course substantiated the students’ knowledge, and the acquired skills became the theoretical basis for the three workshops of this edition: A House from Scratch – Coordinated by Claudia Trufaș, founder of Citrus Studio, Workshop From Design to Product – Coordinated by Florin Cobuz, co-founder of Nod makerspace, Workshop Post Covid Planning – Coordinated by Serin Geambazu.
We went from understanding the process of designing and building a house, to what product design means, production stages, and even how the pandemic has transformed cities, along with the Sustainable Development Goals (UNS) and the solutions discussed in this direction globally. Each workshop was accompanied by a mini competition because we want to encourage and promote learning through architecture competitions.
